Your Attitude Counts

I was at work doing what I do,

All of a sudden, bad words came flying through.

It caught me off guard as I looked amazed,

So I spoke back with kindness as the person was dazed.

Just in a second the person apologized,

Her sincere response took me by surprize.

Then a conversation was started and we both started laughing,

Only to find out that she should have been crashing.

Had I responded to the words that were spoken.

Both of us would have had our feelings jolted.

We should always be thankful for what we do

Remember your attitude will allways bring out truth.

Speak Your Heart

I was in church on Sunday and really had a lot on my chest

I finally decide to speak and wow it was for the best

A conversation was initiated that were pieces of a puzzle

Three others recieved answeres that was almost muzzled

Words will pound on your chest

Speaking from your heart will allow the best

When this feeling comes upon you, open your mouth

You will allow the Holy Spirit freedom and a victorious shout.

When you Speak Your Heart,

You Quench not the Holy Sprit that is within.

You Are Being Watched

You Are Being Watched

Yesterday was a really hard day at work

I was moving back and forth feeling like a jerk

Yet, I kept pressing on to do what was required.

One of the patients called, 'Hey Nurse' and I could not figure out why

I thought he called me just because I had passed by

I really wanted to go home for I really was that tired.

The patient asked me a simple question that really made my day

'You really do like your job', the words that came my way

I smiled on the inside and just praised my Father and had no words to say.

You see, no matter where you are, what you do

Others are watching you.

Will your actions allow peace or add chaos to come through?

Never think that you are alone, I would think not

Remember, you truly are being watched!

A pot of grits

A Pot of Grits

My mother-in-law came to visit one day

She wanted some grits for breakfast to start her way

Well, I burned the grits and had to start over

Put on another pot but did not tell her the story

It was hard to clean the bottom of that pot

You see it was black and hard in many of the spots

The grits at the bottom was black and smelly

The grits on top was white and still creamy

This made me think of sin in the site of God

When we wallow in it, our lives are really hard

The burnt grits represented a non committed life

The white creamy part was God; a life without strife.

God does speak to us daily, we just fail to see the messages that are presented.

A Pot of Grits.

Now is the time.

Now is the Time

I walked in this store to purchase a few things,

The cashier's eyes caught mine like a bird's direct wing.

I immediately felt like I would be speaking to her soul,

Little did I know that those same words would make her whole.

I was able to recite a powerful piece to her,

Not knowing her situation was almost dyer.

After the recitation, I marveled at how God moved. You see, God will place things in you for the Now.

Speak what is in your heart for those same few words

May give another a brand new start.
